My truck has Air Conditioning...


Other than that it has not been a factor in 100+ heat for the last couple of years.

cooling isnt always based on air temperature...(although it is easier to cool something with cold air)
moving a larger volume of air over a heated surface will generate a better cooling affect than a small volume of air over the same surface...

what that means to the non-mechanical engineers... put in more fans, or fans with higher CFM ratings. let your case breathe better...
basically think about air movement. stagnant air will heat up along with the electronics and basically prevent any cooling from taking place due to air movement.

its all about the airflow.. get good airflow and you won't need to worry about the temps outside.

I agree with all the above, as long as you can have air moving (or able to move) past your heat sources...amps...powersupplies...cpus etc.

So don't stick it in a seat cushion...but you could probably put it under a seat, given enough room for air exchange.

hijinks is correct. If it's very hot, the computer in the trunk will sometimes freeze up or the amp will cut out because it overheats. If I lay the backseat down, it'll run fine.

Figure out a way to get some airflow to it. It doesn't have to be particularly cold air either.
