What is the benefit of booting from flash memory? Would you just have the OS on the flash memory, what about programs (power dvd, winamp, etc).

    Thanks Ryan

Flash memory is normally faster than a hard disk. It is also a lot more resistant to bumps, jolts, etc. as there are no moving parts to crash.

You can store anything you want in flash memory, it's just that it's alot more expensive once you get above 512MB.
