    More INFO

I replaced the inverter and still no go...
awhile back I got the bright Idea to the monitor off of the computer power supply, well I must have crossed a wire or something and it just stopped working...I opened it up and found that the fuse was blown, so I thought....hey buy a fuse, well nope....that didn't do it...it just keeps popping....

So in answer to your question...no it doesn't do anything except for that milla second when the fuse pops...

I it's obviously the LCD/touch controller, but I don't believe that they make this one any more, so I'm wondering if it was possible to determine(not me) what was fried on it and replace it...

anyone know of any company that could do that?

Thanks a bunch for the responses!

OK what screen? Seing that you did not post us to a former thread? Inverter? was it included with the screen? or did you buy it from somewhere else?

Why are you so sure its the touch controller?

edit:: NM saw that other thread or reply. Was this post in error? Anyway thats irrelevant. What screen are you talking about?

    IBM / ELOTM flatpanel touchscreen M/T: 1660-T01
    Type: HH12.1ELVT
    HD-DB15
    12.1" Touch-Screen SVGA FLatPanel, 800x600 Max. Res.
this is the only infor I have for it
I found one person selling one just like it here

I replaced the inveter...brand new one...
I'm pretty sure i fried something on the board itself which controls the LCD and the touch...it and all in one....
it won't power up and it just keeps blowing a fuse when I try.

So does anyone know where I could get some thing like this fixed? I believe that it is some circuit on the board itself that needs replacement. I now need to find someone that can test it and fix it.

OK you replaced the inverter. Did the New Inverter ever turn on? Did you ever see a picture in your screen? Inverters are tricky things to wire up. Is there anyway you can take a picture of the way you wired your inverter?

Also "You may have done this already but hey" Double check that nothing is crossing shorting with anything.

I had this same problem, kept on blowing fuses. I dont remember what fixed it though.

Contact me on AIM some time osirsdon <------ copy paste it into your buddy list.
