You would be 100% correct :( It was like $3 shipped, so figured it was worth a shot. It arrived yesterday, and it does not work with the USB<->VGA adapter. Now back to finding one that will work......
Ok I found one with specs that seems like it will work OK for $25. It's a Sewell PC to TV (VGA to RCA) Converter
- Input VGA Resolution 640x480 @ 60/ 72/ 75/ 85Hz , 800x600 @ 60/ 75Hz, 1024x768 @ 60/ 75Hz
- Output VGA\ VIDEO\ S-VIDEO signal at the same resolution
