    Lost my Standby option??

For some reason the standby option is gone from my win2k. Using a epia800 and pretty sure I had bios set up right to go into standby mode.

Also, lost the ability to turn off the pc by just pressing the power button. I have it set on instant off in bios.

In Device manager (can get to it by runniung compmgmt.msc) check to see what type of PC yours is (under the heading "Computer"), it should have something containing ACPI (mine says "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC")

Ah, found out the problem. Win2k was setup as a standard PC. so didn't have all the power management options. No wonder I was getting a Floppy disk controller in my devices.
