mobo dead? no post, beeps, or bios...

Quick backstory: Used carpc in car for about a year. Took it out and used in house as desktop 24/7 for about half a year (with m4 as power supply turned on by 'jumped' normal power supply). After getting new vehicle, installed everything and nothing...

When installed into new vehicle, I took the 12v, ign, and ground from an aftermarket wiring harness behind the radio. I don't mind it cause I needed 'spare' wires up there anyways, so after the initial 'it works' test, I will be removing the 12v and using the battery. Anyways, I hooked everything up, pc and lilliput, jumped my mobo turn wires, and "no signal" on lilliput. .

After that, I realized it's testing time. Before pulling wires, I noticed the cpu fan and molex connected fan were both lit up and spinning. Figuring it might be a faulty cable that came with the lilliput, I traded to a known good lilliput cable from my old install. I know it's good caused I used it everyday until the lilliput was stolen .

The known good cable didn't help, same thing with no signal. At this point I said screw it and just took the whole pc inside. I didn't want to drag monitor, extension cords, mice, keyboards etc outside.

Inside, I took the 'jumped' power supply and hooked it back up to the m4. On a working monitor there was no signal as well. In fact, this time it didn't say no signal, it was just a black screen.

I uninstalled the m4, and plugged the power supply in normally, nothing. Took out ram, nothing (should beep for post). Unplugged cmos for 20 minutes, nothing.

I stripped everything except for cpu/heatsink, monitor. nothing, again!!!!

What other tests can I do???

    What mobo?
On the blank screen when running on a monitor, was there a flashing cursor in the upper left hand corner? When my intel atom board died the thing would not post an all I would get was a black screen with never ending blinking cursor

No, as I understand that the mobo should beep regardless. Maybe things are a little different now, but way back when I always heard post beeps without speakers being installed on the mobo.

Zotac (I forgot version but 6000 series sounds normal), it came packaged with amd dual core and heatsink (not installed though). No hdmi or dvi, vga only. Nothing on the screen at any point, just straight black, no cursors or nothing.

No integrated cpu as stated above. No other processors handy at the moment without spending money and ordering a new one. I have a mobo I can test from another known working desktop (but that's for a customer and I probably shouldn't do it morally) so I haven't decided if I wanted to take that apart and test all my hardware on that.

I know this topic is kind of vague, as there are a lot of things that could cause this. But it's good that the ideas and questions are coming in. The last thing I tried tonight was reseated the cpu and heatsink and that didn't work.

i understand not wanting to screw up a customer pc-- i have had processors that die to the point that they will take working motherboards with them(where i try to test what i recommended), so it is not worth the risk.

i think you have tested everything you can, and the time has come for a replacement cpu/processor..

Thanks for the help then guys, guess I'll bite and get another mobo/cpu. Better to exhaust all options just in case!
