small NICs
I got a good deal on a 233-MMX and a main board with sound and video onboard. The only problem is I don't have a network card that fits in the case. Anyone know of any NICs that are >1" tall? (pci preferably)

D-link makes a usb ethernet adapter.
DSB-650. Just plug the adapter to your network. Plug in the other end of the adapter to your usb slot and load the driver.

There are various adaptors out there that allow you to mount cards horizontally (parallel to the motherboard) rather than vertically. This will cut down on your height considerably. I think a company called Visual System One makes them, along with a bizarre assortment of products. Otherwise, you can solder one yourself pretty easily.

Nevermind, I just networked it with a parallel cable. I can't fit anything else in the case anyway.
I like the USB solution though, I might try that in the future.
