    LCD

Hi. I'm looking for a LCD of thouse who can be connected directly to RS-232 Serial port or LPT (Parallel Port) and their documentation. I'm making a linux interface for my own project but I still haven't find any LCD.
    Thanks in advance.

    Try www.matrix-orbital.com

They have a serial-driven LCD and also sell a
pre-packaged pc-bay insert that you can
plug right into a 5-1/4 bay.

I belive mp3ondemand.com was also planning on
    selling a serial lcd.

You can get software that interfaces with the matrix-orbital display from cajun.current.nu if you care to run linux.

On my caprice there's a little emblem panel in between the two fans in the center of the car's dash. It's only 2"x3.5" max. Anyone know if it's possible to stick a LCD in there?

The guy who made the MazdaPC mp3 thing used an old nec versa 9.5" lcd laptop display that he ripped a part and made it work with his system..

I wrote to that Mazda guy a while back and said that a lot of people would be interested in the schematics of connecting a laptop screen to a PC.. and he said that he would add a section to his site that details how he did it.. so keep checking back there. .
