still inside the case but would save much room.
I'm trying to build a small *** case - so I'm trying to eliminate the need for any PCI cards plugged into my mobo. I've got external USB everything, except for my LCD controller. Does anyone know of some way to extend a PCI slot into a cable, and then house the PCI card away from the mobo?

It seems to me like something like that would come loose very easily. Does anyone have any tips for using those in the car?
VERY small dot of hotglue on the corner works.. some computer shops use this to tell if a card has been removed and to secure it..
00focus, do you know where I can buy these riser cards (that's the way they are called, aren't they?)from? I already found some but they were very expensive...

I picked up a single height riser and a duoble height (as in the picture above) for ~$70 each at Fry's electronics. It was a failed experiment at work, and now I get to reap the benefit for *cough* *cough* free *cough* *cough*.
A carputer?!? What in the hell is that?
you can get those right angle pci extenders for $21.95 at Adex Electronics. I can't remember their website, but they manufacture them. I called them up and they were very helpful. They also have right angle agp slot extenders, but I haven't tried those.
here is the website: http://www.adexelec.com/product.htm

Apple included a right-angle PCI adapter with its low-profile and all-in-one PCI Macs, such as the 6360. You may be able to get one out of such a model.
Also, you may be able to order the part from an Apple service center.
