Mini ITX Board with either A/V and/or Composite

Hey guys,

Per the title of the thread, I'm looking for a good board with either an A/V and/or composite input. I have a car with factory nav. I'd like to try a carpc using the factory screen via an A/V adapter. Any help is greatly appriciated.

I have a number of VIA EPIA-M Mini-ITX Boards surplus from an Industrial Controller. They have Composite Video Out. I've hooked one to my TV before, and of course on a 36" TV it looked fuzzy. I imagine on a small screen it would be OK. The industrial controller that these VIA boards come from, the later models of the industrial controller changed to an ITOX G5M100-N Mini-ITX board. It has a little faster processor, more USB ports, two memory slots, and it overall is a better board, but no Composite Video. Both boards have LVDS, which is what I have been using with the Industrial Screen. Both of those boards are IDE Hard Drives only, no SATA.The problem is, the screen that these are attached to it is 10.5" Diagonal, and a little big for the car. Especially since I only have a single-DIN.

Just to let you know that VIA Mini-ITX boards do have Composite out, but it's old tech. (IDE, old memory, Celeron). But if it's what you need...

That really restricts your options. I'd get a solid miniboard and cpu you liked for the right reasons, desired processing graphics blah blah ya know. Then just use one of these

I've never personally used just the plain ol rca to vga cord, but heck its 2 bucks id give it a go first. But the actual vga rca converters will for sure work. I'm assuming your nav system has a yellow rca video in right? if so ya that should be no problem. not a complicated fix.

you could also just a vga to rca converter. they work well, and cost $30 or less
