    computer placement no mod

With no other modifications, what is the opinion of the best place to place a computer, behind glovebox (worried about heat from engine), in glovebox (worried about ventalation), in trunk (worried about heat in summer)? I live in NYC. Thanks.

lol, I didn't know I had one of those...whatever that is. Care to clue me in on exactly what that is and where it is in my trunk?

    Thanks.

the deck that the rear speakers are bolted to is typically referred to as the parcel shelf or rear deck. right below that is optimum imo because it keeps it off the trunk floor and mostly out of the way maintaining trunk space.

That sounds like a good idea, bolt it to the underneath, seems like an easy and clean install. How would the magnet from the sub affect the computer? It is not enclosed and will be about a foot or so away from the zotac...it's a 10" I believe, pretty strong I would think.

i really can't come up with a reason that it should mess with it-- it is a constant force, and much of pc's are non magnetic, so i don't believe that it will adversely affect the pc.

One more thing. I might mount a quiet fan on the parcel shelf. Should it blow air into the trunk to the computer, or out the trunk into the cabin?

    the age-old question...

i am lead to believe that setting it up to blow across the carpc components will provide the best cooling option.
