I just recently got a 8GB SSD SATAII... i heard that wXP is not going to be good for the long term health of the drive and w7 need 16 GB of space to install... so now what do i do?

Install XP and find the tool that tweaks all the XP settings for SSDs.
Or, use it as a ready-boost drive in a Win7 machine.
Or, make a keychain.
