Parking distance board arrived yesterday and is now populated
Here is the single unit in the start of the case (no sides yet)
And here is the complete unit (still no sides yet)with front and rear parking distance and ext. usb port
All testing is going great! The Sure gps is excellent, usually running on 9-10 sats at any given time. First unit is going in a rig this weekend for some live testing. The final sizes are 6.25"Lx4.25"Wx1.75"H for single board and 2.75"H for double layer. SNO
Update: case is in and only 1 ****up extra hole got into the cut, being corrected as we speak. Testing is going perfectly all signals as they should be and very good coverage, I went with external antenna's for TPMS(red one 433mhz) and the 1 wireless parking distance (green one 315mhz. Bottom plate is a nice solid 1/4" with 1/4" mounting holes. This is the full height model, just putting together the half/height one now. Been a long process but I am very happy with end product. SNO
Looks amazing mate. Great effort .
Vauxhall Astra SXi Car PC installed.

A couple of quick questions here for you.
What are you using to communicate with this board computer wise?
I assume that for all intents and purposes the units you mounted to the board act as if they were connected directly to the computer via USB so any drivers and such would be related to the the boards that were added to make them work?
I ask this because I may use this either with a windows 7/8 machine or a linux machine depending on what I actually plug it into.
The xbee is an interesting addition since I have some microprocessor boards similar to Aduino's that can use it as a wireless communications too so I could actually hook other devices up in my vehicle using wireless with this.
Well the obd micro200 uses ftdi ft232rl chip, the gps uses silicon labs cp210 chip, the 4 port hub chip is genesys logic gl-850g the only problem for Linux I see is with roberto's chip which is HID device of his own programming. Win 2000-Win 7 for sure. should all work on Win 8. The Trucker board (XBee) has not been designed yet, still waiting on the reefer monitor system to be finalized, also roberto is fixing his TPMS apps to handle 10 tire per chip so the second TPMS unit may not be needed so that would also change the design of the trucker board.
