Getting the Mp3 Player hooked up to your speakers....

Okay, this is my plan on hooking up the mp3 player:
I have an amp and I want to hook that up to my pre amp out on my 6 disk cd player head unit. Then, I will use my rca jacks to plug a line from the sound card to the amp. Will this work at all? Please help me with input. Which is the best way to get the music to play through My speakers. I have a a 1997 Ford F-150 with a six disc cd player. the head unit doesnt have a aux and I really dont want to replace it. Well, any feed back would be highly appreciated!! thanks alot.

P.S. I plan on using the Mp3 On Demand head unit to control the player.

You can hook up the computer straight to the amp, but you won't be able to adjust the levels, and using Winamp to adjust the volume is a *****.. I suggest you get a new head deck with AUX in..

If I had the money to do both (and do them well), then I'd buy an empeg.
