Trying to figure out a Motorcycle HUD

But I want it with a bluetooth hookup so it can talk to my OBDII dongle in my bike.

How would you go about building such a thing? The biggest kicker, as far as I can see, is the display; I'm having a hard time finding an off the shelf part I could use for the display. I like the idea of having a raspberry pi in my pocket with a wire going up to the HUD, or something like that, but I don't know how I'd get started.

So, any ideas?

The Oakley Airwave uses the MOD+Live system from Recon Instruments. It does have bluetooth, and it runs Android, so you could probably sideload an app that talks to your ODBII. Mounting it inside your helmet might be another issue.
