Riderunner to control Arduino relay board

I am having trouble finding information on how to interface an arduino board to the PC with ride runner front end. I want to use the arduino to control a relay board to switch on 12v power supply. Do I need to use a bus adapter to communicate with the arduino? Should i just scrap the Arduino idea and go with a fusion brain which has established plugin software? Any help is appreciated!
