    AC controls

    Has anyone ever controlled their AC throught their carputer? If so how? I am looking for something simplier than just actuators to the actual controls. By the way, its for a 2001 grand prox.

    manual, electrical, or digital interface to the a/c ?

    Very funny, GRAND PRIX. The controls have a manual interface, but I haven't pulled them yet to see if they are just switches or if its some kind of pneumatic hookup.

    I checked and the controls are just switches. The connections are electrical, not vacuum so now I know its possible to do and just need some advice on basically using my computer as the switches. I'm sure someone has done something like this through the serial port.

    Hey brother you are following my foot steps

    I am working on some thing similar ..

    Only problem is ME and the A/C software cant be on at the same time ..

    Also i have already completed the relay board for the parrallel port input ! Software half done

    Don't have air conditioning but I am controlling my car heater system using RC servos.

    I am controlling them via the serial port, also have the Fan controlled the same way using a speed controller.

    The control software is integrated into my CarPC software that I have written in Delphi.

    Nemisis you are the man!

    I was hunting for a software like yours for the past two months tried my hand in VB with no luck .

    Could you please give me a copy of your software so i can complete my System as i also wish to control my Aircon with the carputer software ..i have all the hardware ready and if not i can make them as i am good with hardware.

    Also it would be nice if you could give me in VB format and not exe so i can change a few stuff to suite my car like color and button names..etc

    Buddy it shall be really nice if you could do this favor on me.
