    Shuttle XPC SS40G - 3D Video problems

    Hi,

    I finally decided to rip down my old Carputer to build a smaller one with a Shuttle XPC SS40G.

    Does anyone here have one? I have trouble with all 3D games. They all hang within a few seconds.

    System: Duron 1.3, 256MB, Quantum 40Gb, Windows XP, Pioneer DVD

    I have updated:

    AGP driver for Windows XP
    Video Driver (from Shuttle, from SIS, from anywhere)
    Sound Drivers

    I have tried:
    A different CPU
    A different Ram Stick

    DVD, Winamp run fine. All basic operation is fine.

    There is nothing I have not tried for the 3D. Unless someone here has had a similar experience and can help me, I will have to assume that the 3D graphics are toast on the Mobo.

    Any help is appreciated.

    D

    try to test with dxdiag.

    Start -> run -> dxdiag

    Is it possible the onboard video does not support directx and opengl?

    Done all this. Passes all tests no problem.

    The closest test I got for OpenGL was Medal of Honor Spearhead for about 2 -3 minutes of gameplay before it hanged.

    Any game (OpenGL or DirectX) dies on me very quickly.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Power is coming from 200Watt integrated Power Supply. I would imagine that the power supply that comes with this system is intended to adequatly power everything that it comes with... Everything is on-board. Only things to add to this barebones is

    HD = Quantum AS Fireball
    CPU = Duron 1.3
    RAM = PC2700 DDR 256MB
    FD = Mitsumi
    DVD = Pioneer

    I will disconnect the FD and DVD for fun... But I doubt it. Maybe I'll plug in another PS....

    Thanks
