That's a whole lot of RAM for a carputer. What you got planned that needs that much?

I would like to have the ability to move the PC from car and house when I can- I know I will never use that much RAM- but if somebody had information where I could get 512MB for the cost of 256MB- I would go that route--

I agree with Typhoon747, crucial has VERY GOOD memory.. Also you can go to newegg.com and either pick up some crucial there or you can look into CORSAIR, Since its a car PC I would prob go with crucial and if you are ever looking for some memory for a high end gaming machine I could go with the CORSAIR. I personally have a 512 stick of crucial in my M10000...

Cheap Crucial 512MB at Best Buy

    The cheapest I've found, $54.99 - $15 rebate = $39.99:

They are sold out online, but are still available at your local store.
Better hurry, the rebate ends tomorrow (02 AUG 03).

Also, beyond the fact that a name brand like crucial generally guarentees quality, what it does guarentee is a lifetime warrenty. I had the module in my m9000 randomly die after a few months, and crucial replaced it.

nasprouse, that's very cheap for ddr sure that's not sdram (link is not loading for me). i have built several computers buying components from mwave.com. they have excellent prices and service. (ps i use mwave brand memory, but they sell others).

    man i sounds like a salesman... the 512mb pc2700 is $77.76.

    I'm Sure.

I'm sure. Don't know why the link is not working.

    Here is the info:

Crucial Technology 512MB PC2100 DDR DIMM Memory, CT6464Z265

Do a search on Best Buy's site for CT6464Z265.
