do you need small ip camera? like this: http://www.ipcamprice.com/wansview-p...era-p-295.html otherwise a spy camera?
Does anyone know of any usb/web cams that can be used as a backup camera? I dont really want anything really noticeable (like the standard web cam).
I dont worry about interfacing with the camera as long as it is not analog (I am a software developer) so please only USB or IP cameras only.
Thanks in advance.
Im still looking for this....
Has anyone successfully ran a usb(or ip) camera for a battery backup?
Get a regular reverse camera and get a USB video capture card and you are set. You are not otherwise going to find a good USB video camera that isn't noticeable without heavily modifying a current camera or getting a special "spy" camera.
You could also try getting a DVR type system that you can network to your PC and then use the DVR to connect to the cameras. These would allow you to use IP addressing or other means to connect to the cameras or stream the data on the DVR to your PC.
Just do your research and you will find what you are looking for. I will be getting a DVR myself and try it. MANY out there that are using 12 volt DC inputs. Just need to use an SSD or laptop drive or possibly cushion the DVR against jolts and you should be all set.
