    Powered USB Hub?

I'm looking to add a powered USB hub to my Android based head unit. I have a WAP I'd like to be able to charge while driving as well as possibly run an external hard drive. I've seen the CNX-P5USB but wasn't sure if there was a less expensive option available.

I am sure you can use any powered hub and use a 12v to 5v regulator, I personally use the murata oki78sr regulator. They work great and have no heat issues. The other option I have is to use the Ram mount hub but they are expensive as well but include an ignition on wire and a shut down timer delay. Good luck SNO
