There are loads of the things, I counted at least ten in that doc. Don't know why you are having so much trouble finding them.

Thanks Rob! I can't understand these digikey sheets when I read them. I guess 4PDT was what I should have been looking for. 4-Pole Double Throw .. makes sense...

Hmm, I have an old ProPlus CD headunit that I was going to ebay.

It doesn't have any CD changer inputs, but the reason i swapped it out is the antenna remote line is only kicking out 9v, so it wouldn't fire the antenna, or the relay I use to power up the inverter.

Might open that up, and have a dabble with it, maybe even have a go at boosting the antenna voltage too, and see if I can flog it modified to work with a carPC

How is that going to work? The switch only has two positions.

OK I thought you had 4 sources. It does work.

Got the switch today so I went to Radio Shack, picked up my 12 RCA connectors and some wire and got to work!



They all work great (except for 1 loose connection). Can't wait to get my carputer up and running so I can use this bad boy.. sure beats my FM Modulator.. volume doesn't get kicked back and when i swap between computer and headunit, they sound identical in quality and volume.

In case anyone wants it, here's the diagram I made to visualize everything. Black wires are the audio signals and the colors are the grounds.



Keep in mind I am not using the headunit's speaker wires, but rather all my speakers are powered by 2 amps .. which is what allows this to work
