Car Stereo Face +CD changer
I have a factory Face and CD changer. There are two cables comming out of the changers, one with around a dozen pins and another with two wires. Is there a posibility that the two wires could be the L and R channels? If so how could I test it? My $2 tape adapter sounds very poor. I would be very happy if I could get sound in through the L and R channel wires, if they exist.
thanks

Actually if you have only 2 cables then it would be mono because you have to have a + and - for each channel. Does that make any sense?

No, not really, I think Ill just call the dealer or take it into a sound shop. Thanks anyway

Can you look on the back of the head unit and see what those two wires plug into? And if the dealer cant tell you anything look around on the CD changer and see who the real manufacturer is and see if they might be able to tell you anything

use a signal amplifer to find out if it is signal.

Sometimes, the HARD WAY is the ONLY WAY.
On my Panasonic CD-Changer, I have schematics of all the wiring for the patch cord - I might do some electrical surgery to create a RCA output for the soundcard on that cord, when I'm in the RIGHT mood to get it done.
Wish me luck.
