what screen do u have? i think ur comp is going to standby.
Well i think i know the problem.
I have an IBM thinkpad T20 and i'm using the s-video output into a RCA video then into my 7" screen.
The picture comes up fine to begin with (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't). After a few mines the 7" screen just looses the picture, flickers and I start getting the fast scrolling wavey lines.
I think its loosing the signal from the thinkpad after a few minutes and then eventually the screen just goes blank.
I read somewhere about this problem but I can't find the post again![]()
I think this is the problem as it makes complete sense. The video signal isn't strong enough and after a few minutes the screen just looses the control over it?
Any ideas on what I could do to fix it?
Any help greatly appreciated!!!

well I cant give you any help on a notebook specifically but on my EPIA 800 mhz mobo, I didnt use the back plate for the connectors and that turned out to be the reason the rca signal wouldnt stay. After I grounded the rca outter connector everything was fine.
Mine needs to be updated.
yeah.. i've heard a bit about this grounding issue. Basically make sure everything is grounded.
However my laptop currently is just running from its internal battery. Only the screen will be using the ground.
