I was wondering if anyone knew the web address to that wireless infrared mp3 remote control unit. And whether or not it could be used along with the Kiwi LCD on the same CPU. Since they both use parallel port, i don't know if you can use them both at the same time. Thanks
I think you can get IR MAN that runs off of a serial port from evation.com
Which do you all think is better... the IRMAN (evation.com), or the MouseREMOTE (http://www.x10.com/products/x10_mk19a.htm)?

So basically, it comes down to this: If you're using Windows, the MouseREMOTE should be your first choice, unless you think the remote is too friggin' huge. But if you're using DOS or Linux, you don't have much of a choice but to use the IRMan, which is still a good product.

How do I get my IRman to do anything in Linux? I'm a bit of a newbie here. Can anyone point me toward some software or config files for this?
Sorry, I can't find the link at the moment, but to use the IRman receiver in Linux, you'll need to hunt down a page called LIRC (which stands for Linux Infrared Control). It shouldn't be too difficult to find.
