I like the idea. I think it might be worth looking into a touch screen soluion for controling it also. Looks really good though.
A friend of mine has developed a very well thought out and
constructed MP3 player suitable for in car mounting or simply for use in your
home. The unit makes use of a PALM for the user interface and is available in capacities
ranging from 20 gigabytes up to the current 2.5-inch drive high capacity of 80
gigabytes. The output is accomplished via optical, RCA or FM low power
transmitter that is continuously tunable from 87.5 to 108.0. The RCA can be
hooked inline between another source and will switch to the MusicVault when it
is in operation. The user has the ability to create multiple song lists, choose
random and repeat modes, I could go on or just give you the URL.
http://mptronix.com I have been using this device since
development started and find it easier and more intuitive to use than any other
player I have owned or used.

I know atleast two mp3player-only boards that will cost you something like 125. Tell your friend to be less greedy and he'll surely get some customers from this forum
Why is this not in the For Sale Forum?

OK - probably a dumb question but this is my first post
How is ballance, fader, tone, etc... controled? How about subwoofer control?

The device is a source, balance and fade should be handled by your head unit. There are a number of preset eq settings, but again if you are running the source through a head unit you could do youe eq there.Originally Posted by -al-
Hope that helps.
I'm sorry, I'm not selling anything, but I will cross-post there. As I said I know the guy who designed, and builds the devices and have been in on testing and making suggestions for the whole development cycle. I did not mean to offend anyone.Originally Posted by C4M
