My appologies - It never occured to me that a manual would have a Neutral sense circuit. I did consider the E-brake, but find that to be of little concern, as its entirely possible to drive off with the e-brake on.

My local car shop told me they are not allowed to do it, they said something about it being ileagel.

    Oh well.

remote starters have nothing to do with car audio - I dont think kicker makes a keyless entry AMP.

besides, it really didnt matter, I have an automatic, and installed it myself.

Ohio does random safety checks of cars. They setup a roadblock and pull people in for the inspections. One of the points is to set the e-brake, put the vehicle in gear and give some gas, if the vehicle moved you fail that part of the test. So for legality and safety you should not be able to drive off with the e-brake on (at least fully on).
I always thought about replacing my my ignition key with a USB port, have my pc wake up when a USB flash drive was plugged in, check for my pgp key and then start the engine.

I cant drive with my e-brake on, my wheels spin before that cause the tread sucks hehe.

I have a silencer ignition kill system, and am mostl ikely going to make my car button start. Plug in the silencer key, Open a panel in teh dash, enter 4 digit code and press button to start. Not very secure, but there are like 80 different silencer keys, and the keycode. Very high coolness factor tho imho.

Anyone know of a 97 probe gt has neutral sence? and if not how hard is it to install in a car?

My 85.5 had a carputer in it. It probably would have done better had I not taken on a wall at Watkins Glen.... Stupid wall . now I'm building a system for both of my 914s and my New Beetle.

I wanted a 944 for the longest time. As I recall, there was a guy on Rennlist when I used to hang out there that put one in his 944. I think he went by "Don 944 LA" or something similar, and I think he posts on this forum too. Sorry, you're not the only one!
