Onboard mirrors. Getting a dual head videocard seems to work![]()
I plan to do carputer using EPIA (less power drain vs shuttle I presume). I was able to gain quite good set of info from this site (opus psu, tips & tricks, places to get LCD with touch screen, etc)
What I am planning the carputer to be able to handle is...
Be able to display GPS info from primary screen, while secondary screen is playing DVD or other entertainment.
So, dual display becomes a necessity now.
What I am wondering is... do some of EPIA with video out with VGA & RCA handle dual display with desktop expending to the other screen (instead of mirroring both screen)?
I've searched all over and haven't found any conclusive information yet.

What about adding a second video card, like a raedon. Will that allow for an un-mirrored display?
I'm not sure. If you get proper drivers, yes. I just don't know about the driver issue![]()

Yes most decent cards (nVidia, ATi, and Maxtor PCI's) will all do second monitor support. I am not sure if the onboard will work while a PCI is in as well, but I'm guessing it "should"![]()

It will work fine, I have the internal VGA as my primary display (GPS) and a Maxtrix Millenum PCI as my secondary (DIVX/DVD).Originally Posted by SiGmA_X
