Hey there, I have my computer in my trunk. running off an inverter. I grounded the inverter, computer, and motherboard. But im still hearing an alternator whine when i tune into the station i have set for my computer....If i unplug the sound wire from my comp, no noise....comp doesnt even need to be on...yyyyea suggestions, help, its annoying.

I think the noise may be coming for the inverter itself. Mine did that so I 86'd it. Try plugging the computer into house current and see what happens. Go get yourself a long extension cord.
Use high quality rca wires with good shielding and keep it far as far as possible from power cables.
