I've seen your speed test result before. I dont know if you've seen this yet but I'll post again since the original pics were deleted.

download.jpg is Sprint Vision when my truck wasnt moving (Parked). It's sustained download speed is 16.5KB/S or about 132kbps most of the time. It bursts up to 19.3KB/S or near 155kbps.

und.jpg is Sprint Vision when my truck traveling at 80MPH. www.dslreports.com shows average connection at around 85-95kbps down and 105-110kbps upload. It occasionally hit the maximum sustained speed but most of time is somewhere in between.

Perhaps it should be noted that it's not the best idea to be surfing the net while driving 60mph.

I only surf the net when the traffic is moving at 5mph. I goto http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo/ to find out why I-5 is so slow. Also my passangers may not want to listen to MP3 or watch movies. They can check out ebays and read their emails.

Yeah, i have a motorola t720, all i needed to do was go to radio shack, ask them to point me where the phone to usb cable was, and buy it. It was about 15 bux, (us) and downloaded the free software for it. The computer sees it as a modem, so all you have to do is use a regular dialer, set your modem to connect to the usb modem, and it dials up! Plus its pretty fast, alot faster than 56k. Use it on the weekends if you have them for free.

(sigh) I'm tired of this 2.5G ****ing contest. Nowhere does it state that Sprint is faster than T-mobile. It all depends on where you are and how you test it. I guarantee that in Detroit T-mobile would blow Sprint out of the water. Quit telling people that Sprint is universally superior just based on a selective couple people's experience.

Shane, I will stop suggesting sprint if you can show me your t-mobile's result that's faster than Sprint. You've posted several times that T-mobile is faster than sprint, show us, gizmomkr did. I look at things at a scientific way. If you say tmobile is faster, prove it. Don't blab about how you feel about one service is superior than another or some website explaining that sprint is no better than any other service. ALL cellular provider have a data plan. After reviewing all the plan details and other people's testimony from howardforums.com, Sprint came out on top. If people here ask what's the best way to get internet to their carpc, I'm gonna share my research. You claim that in Detroit, T-mobile is faster than Sprint but not all of us live in Detroit. If you can prove tmobile is faster than sprint in Detroit, I'll probably cancel my plan here and move to Detroit and get tmobile there. I'd rather have a world standard GPRS phone than the US only CDMA anyway. Phone companies are constantly upgrading their network. Tmobile might be the fastest in 6 months but as of now, Sprint is. Testing download speed is no rocket science download and install DUmeter at http://www.dumeter.com/download.php then start downloading http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/...mp291_full.exe for about a minute then hit the "Prt Scr Sys Rq" key above the insert key to capture the screen, then open MS Paint and paste, then save and show us the result.
