go with a EPIA500, i am happy with my onboard sound. if you arent, it will be easy to throw in a good soundcard for a good price.
I was almost ready to go from my carpc to a Kenwood Musickeg. But I'm just not ready to throw down $600+ for just music playback. There's got to be a less expensive but effective option.
I'm looking to go mini-itx, even though I'm only going to use it for music playback. I can't resist the opportunity to have a really small music box. Some questions:
1. Are the mini-itx boards on-board sound compatible with mpxplay?
2. If not, will I be able to use mpxplay with a Soundblaster PCI card?
3. How does the on-board sound actually sound? Is it good?
4. Do the normal remote controls (irman) work well with mini-itx?
5. Since I'm only interested in music playback, what's my least expensive and effective option? I won't be doing dvd or anything (at least not initially)
ANY help would be greatly appreciated! I REALLY want to got mini-itx. Even a pre-made cube pc would work well for me.
