What kind of stereo you have?
You can get aux. adapters or get an FM
transmitter/modulator...
How do you get the signal to your speakers with no Aux. Input (as most car stereos are), and no amp? If someone knows of a website that shows this that would be great.
Thanks.

or you can buy a Cassette adapter like the one used in a portable CD player. Only like 20 at walmart or whatever. Get the sony one, or a name you trust. You will have to run it to the trunk (where ever you mounted your computer) but thats not hard. Get an extension and run it. Just an idea. It may not be as fancy as some, but its a great temporary way until you decide everything about your layout.

My advice would be to either go with an FM Modulator or one of the new adaptors at Circuit City. There are some really sweet adaptors at Circuit City that interface with the CD changer controls of your stereo ( if you have one ) they fit all the different standard stereos and range from price between $75-$150 I actually just bought one for my GM AC Delco radio in my 99 S10 and it sounds great, it kicks the *** of my of FM Modulator, however if thats too expensive go with the FM Modulator, mine was an accelle that I bought on eBay for $50 was worth the money, real easy install as well. Well those are probably your best options without buying a new head unit.

Adaptors?... I went to their web site but that section is not available on line... what kind of adapters are they..
I have an Alpine 7440 with CD Changer controls but no aux in...
Is there a place to get this CD changer adapters online?
The adaptor basically looks like a Big Yellow old AT Keyboard plug on one end and have RCA plugs on the other, I forget who makes it right now, obviously an aftermarket group of some sort, the Circuit City by my house had a huge display and demo of the thing.

Would you be so nice as to check that info, I live in Mexico and CircuitCity can't deliver here. So if you could tell us the name of the manufacturer it would be very handy.
Thanks.

This is what I found on Alpine's website for their Ai-Net Interface. Pins 4,5, and 6 are for signal, but I don't know which od the other pins need to be used to trick the headunit into thinking that a changer is connected. Try contacting Speakerworks in Orange, CA. They are the same shop that produces USD audio equipment, and the Holloways (who run the shop) are world famous for their installs. They are also an Alpine dealer, and may be able to help.
