Post How to keep LCD display on when rebooting?

I have a video card with a TV out but When I reboot my computer i have to right click on the desktop on my main monitor, to switch over to the LCD (tv out) everytime. How can I keep my LCD as the main monitor when rebooting? I have not put it in the car yet because I wont have any display.

Before we can do anything for you, you must give us som informations regarding your videocard, like producer, name etc.
A version number of the driver you use would be nice too.

However i can give you one advice, in case you havent already done this, ensure you have the latest driver (these things tend to be updated alot)

    Cool

    CUE,
if it is an ATI card, then there is an option in the display tab for video card. You need to have it checked.

well the card I am trying out now is a creative labs graphics blaster tnt2, I am just trying things out now, and this is NOT going to be my card when i use it in the car(way overkill) so what is the best card that is the easiest to do this with and the best place to buy it? Is the ati experts a good one?

I had a ATI Expert@play 98 in my old setup and absolutely loved that card. It has the best tv out quality I've seen.

Will tha ATI all in wonder stay on the tv-out after a reboot? So my lcd screen display will always be the main/only display working?

Yea the All-in-wonder will stay on, its what I use and works perfectly. All of the ATI cards should automatically turn on tv-out if there is a cord plugged in when they boot. Some video cards however wont work with both monitor & tv output at the same time (my tnt2 ultra in this computer won't for example)..
