Hmm.. The 5" screen from parts express is a bit more expensive, but the fact that it takes 12VDC instead of 9VDC strikes me as being more convienient for the less electronically inclined.. It has the exact same number of pixels, and comes in a nice case (which can be looked at good or bad, depending if you want that)... plus, everyone always complains about ordering from EIO

    Exclamation

I'm personally rather happy with the one from Parts Express, I even like the case (although slightly modified to fit my truck). I'd highly recomend it.

How would you hook a video card with VGA-out to an NTSC monitor, or do I need a special NTSC card?

Also, http://www.jameco.com always has a 5-inch screen with NTSC-in for sale for about $200 new.

    Just noticed this:

4" video screen from Parts Express for $120 on sale. It is about 1/3 the horizontal resolution of the EIO one, but has a similar vertical resolution. It also takes a 12 volt input.

I have the 4" LCD and it is very clear for its size. Winamp looks great on it, and movies or TV look very clear. Well worth the money it cost me to get it to canada.

i'm very interested in buying a lcd screen..

are you guys saying that the 5" partsexpress monitor with show windows/dvd/gps clearly or do i need to look elsewhere.

    if not, what will?
can the alpine/pioneer/clarion monitors do so?

    thanx
