Highest performing PCI graphics card for DVD playback?
I've been looking at the Matrox Millennium G450 PCI, but it doesn't say anywhere that it has hardware support for dvd playback. I wonder if that card would be any better then the onboard graphics card on a Intel 845G integrated graphic with AGP4X interface?

Why do you want a Radeon 9800? Overkill. I'm pretty sure the G450 has some sort of DVD acceleration since it is within the past year or two. Heck you could go with a cheap Nvidia pci card for less then a hundred bucks. Even a Geforce 2 would probably have the acceleration you need. High end graphics cards can produce a lot of heat and depending on your setup this can lead to problems.

Aight, I settled for a VGA CARDEX|GFFX5200 64M TVDVI PCI, it had specific wording stating that it had hardware accelerated DVD decoding support.
