    Post Grounding Plexiglass...Yeh or Neh?

Is there anyway to ground plexiglass..ppl have told me ya..it builds up a ton of static electrcity but you cant ground it due to the fact it is none conductive. that contradicts itself...But can it be done?..

You may try looking for an anti-stat coating that can be applied to the inside of the case...

You should be able to ground all groundable metal parts (i.e. PSU, motherboard, HDD, etc.) by jumping several wires around. It works best if you establish a central location in your box for the lead to the vehicle's frame. Run separate grounds from each component to this central location (could be a nut, barrier strip, whatever).

    This cuts down on noise.

I had a plexi case and it didnt cause me any problems with the static, although there is that possibility. Just keep all the parts clean before putting them together. The plastic wrap that comes on the plexi is what gives it a lot of static.

A little off-topic, but... Yeah, conductive paint can be used for many cool applications... I know in the covert surveillance industry, it has been used to run "invisible" conductors across walls to power bugs, etc. Run a couple of 4" stripes across a wall, cover it with regular paint or wall paper, and bada-boom... you can now connect one end to a power supply and the other to your low power bug.

Apologies for the off-topic post, but maybe this will generate some on-topic ideas...

    Cool
