Okay, lets discuss! How hard would it be to use minidisc in a similar way as say a cdr but storing the mp3 files in mp3 format, and modifiy a hardware player to play these mp3 minidiscs similar to some of the cd players that are starting to play mp3 cdr's. Minidisc technology is re-recordable, and makes more sense as a small simple storage solution than burning cdr's or say zip/jaz drives. I dunno, just wanted some fresh new topics to discuss (perhaps we can rattle some cages).
Also, it would be cool to be able to even record your mp3's onto minidisc in audio form but at a much higher rate similar to the cd to minidisc recorders that do the high speed dub! Shouldn't this be possible in some form or another?
Mini discs are not like CD's. They can hold only about 90 - 100 mb. of information. They only sound good. In truth Minisdiscs are just better quality tapes. So it would be the same as getting a Diamond Rio istead of the minidisc idea....
Yeah I suppose you are right. I would still like the idea of being able to dub the audio from mp3 files to the minidisc at a faster speed.
