Boot from Compact Flash with SATA adaptor?

I've started looking into the possibility of booting from a CF type harddrive for a portable carputer. I found this site selling a CF adaptor to ATA that allows the drive to be recognized as a normal IDE drive.

What I'm wondering, has anyone seen a SATA way of doing this? It seems that SATA would be a better choice for a new system. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

how would useing SATA help? the max speads of SATA arent that much higher then modern ATA 133 vs 150, and i dont the read speads of CF cards are that much faster then a regular HD. plus if your useing it as a bootdrive it has limited numbers of write cycles, so if the computer uses it as virtual memory then it might not last to long.
