Thread: Mounting ideas for slimline dvd player in dash

The problem that I see is that SlimDrives are for computers, so the mounts for them are going to be based upon 5.25 devices.

Mine is no where near that size anymore, I used a nibbler to cut it and shape it to the size I needed, and drilled a few holes where needed.

My problem is the space that i am mounting the cd rom in. I have a cup holder (spiller) that popped up virtically from the center console (near the E brake). The problem is that the slim slot load cd rom drive (if mounted verically) fits perfectly in the space without the enclosure.

What i must do is take the enclusure apart and harvest the inner circuitry. The problem with that is i need some sort of right angle connecter that plugs in to the back of the slimline cdrom and into the chip so i can locate it elsewhere.

Any links?
