According to Sharp, this is a 640x480 TFT LCD! Just what I've been looking for

I just ordered one and I'll post details on what can be done with it once I receive it.

This sounds like a great display to use with my M²PC system.

I don't see how it can interface with a computer though.

It should connect to an LCD controller card, or (I'm hoping!) it has an integrated VGA -> LCD converter board built-in.

Either way it's simply a matter of figuring out the pinout and hooking it up. The price alone is great for just an LCD if it can be made to work.

I found the pinout already, so I'm already heading in the right direction.

So where did you get more information for this screen from? for that price if its a simple matter of a direct VGA hookup than im buying one.

Companies like this often sell hardware cheap, especially if they bought it cheap and have a very large quantity they want to move fast. Price also reflects how useable they think the product is. When they don't have any idea what the thing does or how to hook it up, they sell it cheaper.

Working or not, $29.00 is worth it for me for a chance it'll be useable and something to experiment with.

I have a baby ATX board with an onboard LCD controller, so even if the LCD doesn't accept direct VGA signals, I could still connect to it that way.

Mine's on the way and I'll post my findings on my website as soon as I receive it and crack open the case.
