Lightbulb How to use my iPAQ 3970 as a remote to my EPIA 800?

    Hi,

I have checked the forum (the entire Internet actually) but couldn't find any answears to my question.

The question is: Is it possible to use the FIR or CIR connector on my EPIA 800 motherboard to connect a reciver that can be remoted with the Nevo Remote Control program in my Compaq iPAQ 3970? If yes, what kind of reciver should i get and where?

    TIA Tony

After surfing around a little more I got an another idea. I have a wireless card in the EPIA 800, so if I got a wireless card for the iPAQ I think that I would be able to remote the EPIA with some software. Am I right or wrong? If I am right what software should I use??

Setup a AD HOC to link your ipaq with pc, without internet connection (think direct connection). then use WinVNC to remote control your pc with the ipaq. (you'll have a view of the pc's desktop and control it)
If you just want keyboard & mouse control use Total Input. www.xronox.com
Its like a wireless keyboard & touchpad mouse for pocketpc to PC. (you need wifi connection)
