    Size of a 2DIN

Anyone has measure the space for a default 2DIN radio?

I am on mounting stage and would like to know if itīs possible to fit my entire PC at a 2DIN. I need the width, length and depth in inches or centimeters.

    Thank you very much.

Hi I can't say it exactly but it should be about 18cm (7.1") length and 11cm (4.72") width. The depth is very different in different cars. These are only the measures of the shaft not of the frontblend.

    For more exactitude: google.

Shouldn't they be the other way around.

    7.1" wide

    4.72" height

Depth - dependant on your car...

@ craigyb: sorry I muddled it.

I even noticed that 11cm height are 4.3" not 4.72".

18x17.5x11.4 cm (7x6,9x4.5 in) at least these are maximal proportions I could use valid for continental version of Renault Laguna II (>2001)

    Hope this helps
