    inputing into XM feature

    Hey guys,

I needed some help figuring something out. I am in the process of building a carputer for my G35 Coupe. I've seen Inor's setup and I want to do something similar to that. My car has a button for SAT input built into the factory Reciever, but I don't have a XM radio. I was wondering if I could somehow input my carputer audio output into the SAT input instead of a XM radio. This would be better then using one of those cassetes to input into the tape source. Thanks in advance.

It depends if the SAT input is for the XM radio antenna for the audio.....what does the connector look like? It is looks like an RCA connector then it is most likely for audio, if it's an antenna connector then you are out of luck because that can only be used to recieve XM radio.

I know for a fact that it isn't a RCA connector. I've seen it and I don't know what you would call it but it was a rectangular connector made up of many wires.

I doubt you will be able to then.. That connector is there to "control" a XM device.. There still might be an Audio connection there.. What ytou would need it to see if you can find the wiring diagram and see if there are any audio inputs.. Even then you would still need the PC interface to control you XM it would just play thru you car radio before going out to the speakers..
