    Thumbs down Hybernation and soundcards

I like to use the possibility of ACPI Supend-to-Disk aka hybernation to start and stop my CARPUTER.

Also I want to have 5.1 sound for better viewing experience of DVD's.

Problem I seem to run into is that 5.1 capable soundcards don't seem to support hybernation (ACPI S4).

Does anyone know any soundcards that support hybernation or has experience with hybernation and soundcards?

As far as I'am aware of doing hybernation together with sound, is by using a motherboard that supports hybernation and has a build in sound card.

Maybe USB soundadapters (are there any that support 5.1 sound?) are a possibiliy?

Hopefully someone has some ideas or experience

    Cool

Assuming the WDM drivers work... Is it just me, or has anyone else had nothing but trouble with WDM?

I haven't had any trouble yet, because I didn't try so far

But because I see so many postings on people having trouble with this, I wonder if someone got it working and which soundcard they use. As far as I can figure out from other newsgroups and forums for Creative, Terratec and Philips soundcards all of them seem to give problems with hybernation.

B.T.W. on the sites of the creators of these cards, there is nothing what so ever mentioned...Maybe on purpose?

Does this mean that the Soundblaster 5.1 VXD drivers don't work with hibernation???
