    Question do i need a keyboard ??

just got my irman in the mail today.. works great!!!! had to try three different remotes though.... first two kept giving same output even though different keys were pressed ??

the question now is ... if i set winamp as shell, do i still need a keypad or keyboard plugged in ??? will pc boot without one?? cant test yet as waiting for memory to arive in mail !!!!

You shouldn't need a keyboard to boot the PC if you disable the keyboard in the BIOS. This tells the computer not to check if there is a keyboard at bootup, but it will still used one if it is plugged in. Most BIOSs have this under "Advanced CMOS Setup". You usually just have to change "KEYBOARD" to "Not Installed". I believe that IRMan allows to operate WinAmp totally without a keyboard.

    Unhappy

since there is nothing remotely resembling a standard bios config format, one other thing you can try is to disable "halt on error" or some such similarly labeled feature
that way, instead of saying "no keyboard found, press f1 to continue" it just says no keyboard found and continues booting.
