Thread: Easy way to mute/unmute line in ?

Hey guys,

I need a easy way to mute and unmute my line in on my carcomputer.

I have my XM radio line out going into my computers line so i dont have to use a spliter on my aux in on the HU.
So anytime i want to listen to XM radio i have to unmute the linein on my computer, which is a pain in the *** on a 7in screen. Mix and repeat to listen to mp3's again.

So i need a easy way to mute the line in. What ultimately would be cool is if media engine would mute the line in when loaded and unmute on exit, but i need this like yesterday.

Something ideal would be a small application that just toggles the line in mute status and i could place that on my desktop and just click it. I wonder if there is anyway to detect if there is sound comeing from wave and then just mute linein automaticly and unmute when sound from wave stops.
I dont know, im not a programer.

Any ideas??
