    ApeXtreme, it'd be perfect

If we could just adapt the power to work in a car, this would be perfect:

DVD, divx, mp3, games, embedded WinXP (near instant-on), 40GB hard drive, that doesn't use a proprietarily format, meaning easy to upgrade, USB ports, DVI out. Hey, it already has a remote too.

Can't wait to see what some more knowledgeable people could do with this system. Getting GPS sofware to run on it shouldn't be too hard.

I saw that, I'd love to take it apart and mess with it (hardware and software wise)

No they're being shown at CES this year. Also, I heard Alienware is doing one as well.

Its is designed for home use as the ApeXtreme has a TV-out, a DVI connector, and a Component Out for HDTV connectivity. Combined with Instant-On due to XP-Embedded on ROM. I agree it would make a damn good basis for a CarPC.

    NEAR Instant-On

XP still has to boot, it's just streamlined really well.
