I just bought one yesterday. Got the DVD drive as an upgrade. Pretty slick. Funny thing is gnetcanada.com has the same thing for $1295! and I was thinking of buying from them. Glad I found it at tigerdirect.
I also ordered a Clarion VRX610 (flip out 6.5" screen) and Co-Pilot 2002 GPS software.

only trubble might be with a DC-DC supply. it seems this baby takes 18V DC input at 3A which might be hard to get from a car. Apart from that a very slick unit.......
Project - GAME OVER :(
I wonder if you could use an adapter like this:
http://www.buytelescopes.com/product.asp?t=&pid=905&m=2
its made for large meade telescopes.
I bet it's hard to find an upgrade for the Mobo. IMHO, it is better to go with a main stream solution, so at least you can replace the parts when your (my) Sproggy PSU spikes and blows something![]()

"if everything is under control, you're not going fast enough!"
The Gnet this is almost worth it because of the software.
This is from gnet's site

Like any car audio component the Revolution Auto PC requires a DC voltage input. The unit requires 18V DC but will run flawlessly on 12V-18V DC, which is what a vehicles electrical system produces. We recommend installing a fuse and voltage regulator inline of the power cable to ensure you do not overload the power supply in case of a malfunction or spike in your vehicles electrical system. We recommend disconnecting your car battery before this part of the installation.

Ok I got one of these its very nice. It uses a laptop hard drive BTW and laptop memory but a standard celeron chip it is upgradable memory and cpu wise to whatever the mobo limit is (they don't say and I didn't take it apart to see what teh jumper state (hell I don't know if it has jumpers but the manual stated that it did)
Hmm since I do have a year warrenty I just might hook it straight up to my cars power and see what happens I will let you know how it goes.
