need help for regulator /need fuse

my regulator acceps 8 to 36 volt and converts it to 5v 300ma.. i don't know whats te equivalent to 300ma -30.0 or 0.03 or 0.30 amps.. now i don't know what fuse i can use to protect my regulator...
BTW: th regulator is for my serial 13.3 touchscreen . i spoke to the company the sold me the touchscreen and they said that the only sell it but they dont have a techman/woman to ask them about it... the is safe for me to connect it to my car power sourse with out a problem. but i don't want to to be sorry if i click to cables by mistake... can any one help me with this...

300ma is .3 amps

it is probably fuesed internally already. crack the case (well, not literally) and see if you can spot one.

if not, get a fuse with a voltage rating that is higher than the max voltage you'll put on the input and current rating larger than the max current.

so maybe 25v .5a would be good.

25v .5 amp. i don't have an idea where to get from i when to pepboy and radioshack.com and they didn't have it.. ahve any idea here to look or it...

Here's the link to Radio Shack's page for fuses. I suggest that you get the inline fuse holder (PN 270-367) and the closest matching fuse (P/N 270-1061) which is rated at 0.5A.
