Disable the floppy in the bios if it has an option. I have the same problem with the ps2 mouse on an aptiva. Using USB mouse but it doesn't detect a ps2 so it's ****y. No option on the aptiva, good luck.
I converted about a 4 year old gateway into a carputer and removed the floppy drive. The only problem is that when I boot up, BIOS gives me an error about not detecting the floppy drive which I then have to hit a key to bypass and continue booting into XP pro (very annoying). Can anybody help? I already tried disabling the floppy in XP but it does the same crap and even detects new hardware (i.e the floppy drive) when window starts. thanx
